Writing a novel :-)
Mama...how abt writing a novel, with each one of us writing a section of 50 pages (ofcourse after framing the story and partioning it)...

We could call it as 'Gang of 6' (Prad, sunil, iday, kitcha, ram and kart)?!We could pull in other guys who are interested.

One big disadv is that each one of us have a different style of writing, so each section will be in a different style. May be this could work in our adv... Hmmm...let us not think abt publishing it now but we could try writing it for our own fun?!!

We could chose a theme something in the likes of "Five point someone"... means abt college life or something which is common to us?! We could write it in Virumandi style ie., each section could be a narration by a different character?!

Any takers?

I'd say from prads post that we have 2 "novel", well literally, ideas at hand.
The first idea is, i guess, what Karthik porposed too. Something like Akiro's style of direction. If we give it our best shots - it could well be interesting. Provided we are able to write stuff in our own style (which we'll do) and still be able to maintain the crux of the story and not distort the central theme or confuse ppl.
    Worth a try - definitely :)
I can already see what someone's gonna say if we get thru this. "6 guys, bored to death with their jobs. What do they do - write a novel."

    I'm definitely game...

I'd also like to improve on the second idea prad's proposed. This will make it all the more difficult. We'll have 1 first chapter, 6 second chapters and 1 thrid chapter which will kind of bring all these together. Like Ramu's Darna series, or Aayidha Ezhuthu...

Yes you are rite da... in both these themes having different writers would help the cause. So, having 6 different authors is an adv and not a disadv. Seems very interesting, if we can make it happen.

Who knows we could reach the hall of fame, if this gets published?! (Am I the one who said let us not think abt publishing?!) :-)

How abt picking up an event from our college itself.
We can take a dig at something ;) but that's what's not in my mind!!!

The idea is that this day is something important, life changing - whatever kind of day it is we have to decide.
We have these 'n' guys who have different persona, diif BGs, diff life styles, diff attitudes - basically us. So their perspective on the day and the happenings of the day, the actions of the others (which will also include those of the other othet authors and those of few ramdom characters each author brings in) etc will be different. It wud be nice if we can bring in a situation where there wud be changes in lot of stuff - people, their behaviour, their preferences, etc etc. Something like saying - this is really representative of life :)

    Whot say ppl?!?!

    @ Kart
We'd think of stuff like publishing etc later machi. Let us concentrate of writing this stuff first of all.
By the time we complete it - we'll know whether it is publishing/selling material. Then let us consider that option.
Dont speak as if we are 6 diff authors who've written and published a number of books between us :)
    Nothing offensive - jus my $0.02 :)

dai karthick adanguda. u r getting carried away too much.
somehow story writing has been flavour of this season. that doesn't guarantee - given the volatile behaviour of our guys. (offence intended)
writing novel - yes i wud be glad to be part of it. Types available.
    1. Yuva
    2. Akiro
    3. Sindbad
    4. Let me add one more type which i had seen in anada vikatan. it is like if-else statements throughout. there wud be a start. then at some instance. they wud give u 2 options. from there it wud branch into 2 stories.... so on.
    ppl finalize it soon.

One thing: even though we are not pro's in story writing, each of us played with different ideas, writing styles and presentations, and finally came up with decent stories. But when I think about the extend the story contest or novel writing projects, I feel that the right flow of imagination (or if we dare call our story writing, 'creativity') can't be scheduled. It should happen naturally. Given our almost busy routines, we should evaluate the feasibility of materializing this.

We will not be able to predict our schedules da. That;s out of question.
I accept that it will be difficult to allocate time for some, ahem, Creativity amidst our work load et al. But dint we enjoy writing the short stories. So i guess we'll definitely try to give some time for this something which interests us. guess u guys understand what i am saying :)
