World war 0 |
machis, I think we are mature enough to discuss, analyze and criticize the religions which we follow. If we can't do it with open-minded with ourselves, then it would be far more difficult to make sure good sense prevails in the world because of us. Read this article and let us comment.<<http://www.veda.harekrsna.cz/encyclopedia/warhistory.htm>> |

Crap da.... This guy speaks as if he was teaching history and geography when the Mahabharata war happened. Bhima went to Burma through Andaman and Nicobar which was a mountain then! :))) Some attempt usually done by english movie directors to try to mix facts and fantasies in a clever way (like Matrix, Jurassic Park etc.) He always misses the reverse of what he is saying. When he says India was centre of power to the world and all other cultures translated the stories into their own versions, why can't the reverse be true. Why can't the Greeks be teling the truth, Indians were slaves but decided to shred their 'slave' identity. If no one can give exact account of what happened because everything was destroyed and no communication was left (as he argues), how come he knows all these :). He compres Trojan war with Mahabharatha. In my knowledge the trojan war spoke about blessed people like Achiless and gods had there own pets, but on warfield everyone used equal weapons as swords and daggers. No astras or as the author claims a weapon as devastative as atom bombs (which he calls primitives :)) were mentioned. His arguments about varnashrama, demons, devas are all funny. I will tell something. Act as you know palm reading and try telling everyone after looking deeply into their palm, that they should have faced a serious illness when they were a kid. You'll find 90% of them will be amused by your prediction. Same thing applies to civilizaions and wars. Every civilization must have faced a war in one or the other time of big devstations. You can't simply say, 'what they say is Mahabharatha. They refuse to admit because they were slaves.' Don't try to make Mahabharatha a mere joke with all these arguments. In my judgment it is a must read fiction, best of all I have read. Nothing more. It might have been derived from some facts. But so is Matrix and Jurassic Park. End of day, it's human tendency to believe he is superior, to not accept that his life has no better meaning than stones and rocks lying around. But that keeps the world running and makes his life interesting. Just like instead of thinking how odd it is when you hit a ball in some direction and run on the field in some other direction, you believe you are actually getting something as tangible as runs and also feel superior when you drive the ball to a distant rope. That defines you a purpose to live. Thats it. :)
